CHICKPEA MILK - NEW VERSION! 😋 Dairy Free Vegan Plant Milk Recipe 💚

Today I'm sharing my new chickpea milk recipe. Over the years I have received many requests to make a new video, as the old one from 2015 showed a stick blender but the majority of my viewers have a high speed blender. So I filmed this new tutorial and also altered the ratio of ingredients for a better result.

One thing that has not changed is I still always have lots of chickpeas to use up from making the vegan egg replacer aquafaba you can learn more about in a separate video (https://youtu.be/JFadDXvqxKs). This homemade plant milk is casein free, high in protein and low in fat. My tutorial guides you through the steps for making chickpea milk in a highs speed blender. This dairy free, nut free and lactose free milk is compatible with a high carb low fat (HCLF) vegan diet, also known as Whole Foods Plant Based (WFPB), as suggested by T. Colin Campbell's "The China Study" and Dr. Michael Greger's Nutritionfacts.org. If you're interested in healthy nutrition, give it a try! LIKE THIS VIDEO? I APPRECIATE YOUR THUMBS UP! THANK YOU!!!

// CHICKPEA MILK // ● 1 cup cooked chickpeas ● 2 cups water ● optional: sweetener (agave nector or maple syrup) Method: Fill the chickpeas and the water into a high speed blender (mine is an Omniblend). First blend the mixture for 2 minutes on highest speed. Then stop and pulse for a few seconds to incorporate particles that might be sticking to the walls of the blender. Then blend it for another 2 minutes on highest speed. Line a strainer with a cheese cloth or a laundry wash mesh bag (mine is a few years old and similar to this one: https://amzn.to/2QDx7Or). Pour the milk in the strainer, then twist and close the wash bag and press out as much liquid as possible. The result ist a plant milk whose taste reminds me a bit of soy milk. You can keep it in the fridge for up to three days. Use it in your coffee, for creamy plant based sauces and for your vegan baking. The pulp that remains in the wash bag can be used to make vegan burger patties. // MORE PLANT MILK RECIPES // ● WALNUT MILK is a great source of Source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, magnesium and protein. ► Recipe: https://youtu.be/mbAs0cPY68A ● SUNFLOWER SEED MILK is a source of Iron, Vitamin E and Essential Fatty Acids and has a pleasant, mild taste. ► Recipe: https://youtu.be/xNSnLQzucPk ● SESAME MILK is a source of vitamin B6, fiber and protein.
