I realized I haven't made a What I Eat In A Day video in years, so I wanted to share what I recently ate on a regular work day.
You'll see that vegan food isn't bland or boring at all. Part of my diet is whole foods plant based / high carb low fat (WFPB / HCLF) as recommende by Dr. Michael Greger of nutitionfacts.org, but I also consume oil and sugar, so part of it is vegan junk food.

Today I'm trying something that I read about in a magazine years ago: Turning cream of tartar (potassium hydrogen tartrate) into baking powder. I want to use up a container of cream of tartar that I bought for a recipe. Cream of tartar, a powdery acid, is a byproduct of winemaking that is used in the kitchen and for cleaning.

Over the years I have received many requests to make a new video, as the old one from 2015 showed a stick blender but the majority of my viewers have a high speed blender. HOW TO MAKE AQUAFABA EGG REPLACER FROM TEXTURED VEGETABLE PROTEIN π
Did you know you can make aquafaba from textured vegetable protein (TVP)? TVP is a meat substitute that is made of soy. The liquid I make in this tutorial is suitable as aquafaba because soy is a legume that is even higher in protein than chickpeas (the protein makes aquafaba an egg replacer).

In this video, I'm sharing my easy DIY vegan hand scrub for soft hands. As a coffee drinker, I was looking for new ways to use my daily coffee grounds and they work great as an exfoliant ingredient. Combined with pure aloe vera and soy yogurt (both soy and aloe are ingredient in skin care products), this hand scrub exfoliates and nourishes your skin.

Vegan Chicken Salad π
After all the positive feedback for my vegan tuna salad recipe (https://youtu.be/AdAO6sy8VwI), I've decided to make a similar one that mimicks chicken salad. Just like the tuna version, my vegan chicken („chickun“) salad uses textured vegetable protein (TVP), a meat substitute that is made of soy and low in fat. It is available at many local health food stores and online.

Firm Vegan Sandwich Mayo
This is an adaptation of the well known tofu mayo which for my taste is too bland. My version uses sunflower seeds for a richer taste. This is a vegan sandwich mayo that is pretty firm and doesn't drip when you take a bite. Feel free to add more liquid (see instructions below).

This episode is about my semi firm cultured and aged vegan cheese. In the past I've made firm vegan cheese and two vegan cream cheeses, and quite a few people have asked for a cheese with a texture somewhere in between. So I experimented with the firm cheese recipe and altered it a bit. I love the result, it's really delicious. I use these ingredients.
